Today, get up early for a trek to Ghangaria.
Enjoy the trail through the forest and villages, as well as the views of waterfalls and lush landscapes. Ghangaria can be reached after traveling 11 kilometers in 4-5 hours. You can also hire a mule or use a helicopter to get to Ghangaria.
This pleasant day, look forward to a short climb to the valley, a moderate gradient, and beautiful scenery. It will take approximately 2 hours to reach the famous Valley of Flowers. Admire vast meadows dotted with vibrant alpine flowers, numerous streams, and majestic mountains.
Right at the entrance stands the snowy Ratban Parvat Peak, with Nar Parvat on the left and the dense Birch Forest on the right. Over the course of 3-4 hours, discover the region's many charms. Return to the camp at Ghangria.
Over the course of 3-4 hours, ascend to Hemkund Sahib, a revered Sikh shrine built next to the mesmerising lake (surrounded by wild flowers, the most popular of which is Brahmkamal). Expect steep climbs in some places. Once there, take in the scenery while sipping on the piping hot tea served at the Gurudwara (shrine). Visit the Laxman Mandir, which is next to the Gurudwara. By noon, return to Ghangria.
Overnight will be spent in the campsite.
On this day, you will return to Govindghat. This place of worship, situated on the banks of the holy Alaknanda with Neelkanth Peak in the background, is a captivating destination, particularly for those interested in spirituality. Here, there are sulfur water pools and fresh air.
Later in the evening, you travel to the Govindghat lodge. Take a shower and eat a delicious meal. The night will be spent in the lodge.
Eat breakfast and drive down to Haridwar.
